The real problem

Most local service ads
fail silently

Business owners spend thousands every month and see impressions, clicks, reach — but the phone doesn't ring enough. The issue is almost never the budget. It's the strategy.

Single-angle campaignsRunning 5 ads with the same message doesn't expand reach. It makes your own ads compete against each other.
Invisible servicesMost companies advertise 1 service out of 5 they offer. Membership plans, seasonal offers, and specialty services never appear in a single ad.
Wrong call-to-actionSending paid traffic to an Instagram page or a generic homepage loses the customer before they ever call.
No seasonal strategyRunning a furnace ad in spring or an AC tune-up in October wastes every dollar on the wrong customer at the wrong time.
Why ads fail — the numbers

What I do

Paid ads built around
how customers actually buy

Every campaign I build is designed around one question: what does this customer need to see, at this exact moment, to pick up the phone?

01
Facebook & Instagram Ads

Full campaign strategy, audience segmentation, creative direction, and ongoing management. Built for lead generation — phone calls, form fills, and booked appointments.

02
Free Ad Account Audit

Before we work together, I review your current ads and show you exactly what's working, what isn't, and why. Clear findings, no jargon — and no obligation to hire me.

03
Multi-Segment Strategy

Separate campaigns for emergency customers, preventive maintenance, seasonal demand, and commercial services — so every potential customer sees the right message.

04
Creative & Copy Direction

The hook that stops the scroll. The copy that creates urgency without feeling pushy. Video briefs, static image concepts, and ad scripts written for phone calls.

My approach

I study your business
before I touch
a single ad.

Most media buyers open an ad account and start clicking. I start by understanding who your customers actually are, what stage they're at when they find you, and what your competitors are doing wrong — so I build campaigns your market hasn't seen before.

This means I analyze your full ad library, your website, your offers, and your competitors before recommending anything. When we speak, I already have specific observations about your business. Not generic questions.

Step 01
Competitor & Market Analysis

I audit what competitors are running, what angles they're using, and where the gaps are in your market.

Step 02
Customer Awareness Mapping

I identify 3–5 distinct customer types and map exactly what each one needs to hear to take action.

Step 03
Campaign Architecture

Each customer type gets its own campaign — separate message, creative, and call to action.

Step 04
Test & Launch

We launch with a structured testing framework — multiple creatives, audiences, and angles to gather real data fast.

Step 05
Measure & Scale

Using CPL, ROAS, CTR, and conversion data — we cut what fails, double what works, and scale the winners.

What separates good ads from wasted budget

The 6 things I check
in every ad account

Strategic gaps

Single-offer syndromeMultiple ads with the same message wastes budget competing against itself in Meta's auction.
Missing customer segmentsEmergency, preventive, seasonal, and commercial customers need separate campaigns — not one message for everyone.
Invisible recurring revenueMembership plans and maintenance contracts drive stable monthly income — but most businesses never advertise them.

Execution problems

Wrong destinationSending paid traffic to Instagram or a generic homepage instead of a booking form or phone number kills conversions.
Weak creative formatStatic images with long text get deprioritized by Meta's algorithm. Video and motion earns more distribution for the same budget.
No urgency hierarchyA broken furnace in winter and a routine tune-up are different emergencies. The copy must reflect that difference.
What this looks like in practice

The gap between what you have
and what your ads show

This is the analysis I run on every business before writing a single word of ad copy. The gap is always there. The question is how large it is.

Composite Gap Analysis — Hypothetical Local Service Business Not a real company. Built from patterns observed across 20+ businesses.
What this company HAS
HVAC installation, repair & maintenance — heating and cooling
Full plumbing division — drains, water heaters, leak detection
Electrical services — panel upgrades, EV charger installation
Annual maintenance membership at a fixed monthly fee
Special discount for seniors, veterans, or first responders
Utility rebates — up to $9,000 available per qualifying home
24-hour emergency service, any day, no overtime charge
What their ads SHOW
One seasonal promotion — same message across every active ad
Plumbing — zero ads running, invisible to paid traffic
Electrical — zero ads running, invisible to paid traffic
Membership plan — never mentioned in a single ad
Discount program — never promoted, unknown to new customers
Rebate opportunity — buried on website, absent from all ads
Emergency service — no ad exists for it, anywhere
What I find in real ad accounts

Real patterns from real audits

Every company name and identifying detail is removed. These are anonymized findings from actual ad account reviews — showing the exact types of gaps I find and fix.

A 26-year-old company with 5 service lines was advertising only 1.
HVAC, plumbing, electrical, water heater, and water filtration — all on their website. Their Facebook ads only mentioned AC repair. Four entire revenue streams had zero paid visibility.
Denver metro HVAC company — Ad library review, 2026
7 ads running for 9 months with zero changes — 2 of them sent traffic to Instagram.
A family-owned company with 67 years in business had 7 ads in rotation. Not one had been updated in over 9 months. Two sent paid clicks to their Instagram page. Every dollar spent on those two ads generated exactly zero leads.
Denver metro HVAC & plumbing company — Ad library review, 2026
4 new ads launched on the same day — 2 were word-for-word identical.
A company launched 4 ads in a single day. Two were exact duplicates competing against each other in Meta's auction — raising cost per impression without expanding reach. All 4 focused on HVAC rebates only.
Denver metro multi-service company — Ad library review, March 2026
$15,750 in available rebates per home — mentioned in zero ads.
Combined federal IRA tax credits, Colorado state rebates, and Xcel Energy incentives can put $7,750 to $15,750 back in a homeowner's pocket. Multiple companies had this buried on page 3 of their website — and promoted it in exactly zero Facebook or Instagram ads.

Strategy & methodology

The only thing that matters
is more customers, lower cost.

Gap analysis tells you what's broken. Strategy tells you how to win. Every campaign I build is grounded in one principle: find what works faster than anyone else, then scale it ruthlessly.

01
Your market is not one person

Every local service business has 4–5 completely different customers. The emergency caller. The planned buyer. The seasonal customer. The referral. Each needs a different message, a different creative, a different campaign. Running one ad to all of them means you are relevant to none of them. I build a separate campaign for each customer type — so every dollar reaches the person most likely to convert right now.

02
The hook decides everything in 1.7 seconds

The average person sees thousands of ads every day. They spend 1.7 seconds deciding whether to stop scrolling. The entire battle is won or lost in the first line of copy and the first frame of video. I test 10–15 hooks before touching anything else — same offer, same creative, different opening. When one hook generates 3× the click-through rate, I scale that across every campaign. That is how you find the language your market wants to be spoken to in.

03
The offer beats the creative — always

A mediocre ad with an irresistible offer will always outperform a beautiful ad with a weak one. The biggest mistake local businesses make is advertising their service. World-class advertisers advertise the outcome, the transformation, or the risk reversal. “AC installation” is a service. “New AC installed for $0 down — you don’t pay until it’s running perfectly” is an offer. The second one gets called. My job is to find the offer that makes saying no feel like a mistake — then test five ways to say it until the data picks a winner.

04
The data decides — not opinion

After 7 days and 1,000 impressions per ad, the data tells the truth. CPL under benchmark — scale 20%. CPL over benchmark — cut or refresh creative. CTR under 1% — the hook is failing. CTR over 3% but no leads — the landing page is failing. Lead-to-job rate under 30% — the audience is wrong or the offer is misleading. I am not attached to creative. I love the spreadsheet more than the ad. The ad is a hypothesis. The data is the verdict. This is why campaigns compound over time instead of staying flat.

Field audits — real findings

What I find when I look at
a real ad account.

Every audit below is from a real business I researched using Meta's Ad Library, their website, and competitor data. Names removed. Findings kept exactly as found.

HVAC & Home Services
"4 ads launched the same day — 2 were word-for-word identical."
Duplicate ads competing against each other — identical copy entered Meta's auction as separate ads, raising CPM without expanding reach.
Plumbing, electrical, EV charger install — all on the website, zero ads running for any of them.
Drain guarantee offer ("clear it or you don't pay") — a powerful conversion hook completely absent from paid traffic.
All 4 ads focused on one seasonal rebate — no emergency, maintenance, or membership campaign running.
4
Invisible services
50%
Budget wasted on duplicates
1
Angle tested
Recommendation: Separate campaigns per service line. Kill duplicates. Add a drain guarantee campaign — this offer creates urgency on its own.
Med Spa & Aesthetics
"Mobile, physician-led Botox — but the ads say 'Botox made simple.'"
Strongest differentiator invisible in ads — mobile, in-home treatment led by a physician is a premium angle that the current ads never mention.
Group and private party offers not promoted — a high-value, social service perfectly suited to Meta's social graph, running zero campaigns.
Generic hook — "Botox made simple" competes with hundreds of med spas using identical language. No differentiation signal.
Opportunity — convenience, in-home experience, and physician-led credibility are three separate campaigns waiting to be built.
0
Differentiator ads
2
Invisible offers
3
Untested angles
Recommendation: Lead with the physician-led mobile angle. Build a group event campaign. Own the "in-home luxury" positioning — nobody else in the market is.
Med Spa — Multi-Service
"28 services on the website. Only 2 appear in active ads."
26 services generating zero paid traffic — laser hair removal, IV therapy, body contouring, chemical peels, microneedling — all invisible to Meta audiences.
Creative overlap across active ads — multiple ads using the same core message, making it impossible to identify which angle is actually driving performance.
No awareness-stage campaigns — all ads target the same ready-to-buy audience. 95% of the med spa market hasn't started searching yet.
Membership offer absent — recurring revenue plan exists, not mentioned in a single ad.
26
Invisible services
0
Membership ads
95%
Market unreached
Recommendation: Build 4 campaigns minimum — one per top service category. Test membership plan ads separately. Separate the testing structure so you know what's working.
HVAC & Plumbing
"7 ads running for 9 months — 2 sent paid traffic to Instagram."
Ads destination: Instagram page — paid clicks landing on a social profile instead of a booking form or phone number. Every dollar on these 2 ads generated exactly zero leads.
Zero ad updates in 9 months — the same creatives running since the previous year. Ad fatigue kills delivery and raises CPM automatically over time.
Emergency service invisible — 24/7 availability is the strongest differentiator in home services. Not mentioned in any active ad.
67 years in business — a powerful trust signal buried in website footer text, absent from all ad creative.
$0
Leads from 2 ads
9mo
No creative refresh
67yr
Trust signal unused
Recommendation: Fix ad destination immediately — every ad should land on a phone number or booking form. Refresh all creative. Build an emergency service campaign using the 67-year trust signal as the anchor.
Pre-campaign research protocol

How I study your business
before touching a single ad.

Most media buyers open an ad account and start clicking. I start by building a complete intelligence picture of your business, your market, and your competitors. When we speak, I already have specific observations. Not generic questions.

01
Meta Ads Library
Every active ad you’re running — copy, creative format, duration, ad destination. I check on the same day I reach out. The data is always current, never assumed.
02
Full Website Audit
Every service, offer, membership plan, discount, certification, and trust signal on your site. I map what exists vs what’s being promoted. The gap is almost always significant.
03
Competitor Intelligence
What your direct competitors are running, which angles they’re testing, where the market gaps are. I look for what nobody in your space is saying — that’s where the opportunity lives.
04
Customer Segmentation
I map 3–5 distinct customer types for your business — their awareness level, their buying trigger, and exactly what message each one needs to see to take action.
05
Hook Strategy
Before writing a single ad, I identify 10–15 opening lines built around your specific offers, differentiators, and customer psychology. The hook is 80% of the result.
06
Campaign Architecture
A complete campaign structure — one campaign per customer type, with separate ad sets for cold audiences, warm retargeting, and lookalike expansion. Built before anything goes live.
Common questions

Everything you need to know
before reaching out

Straightforward answers to the questions I hear most often. If yours isn't here, send me a message — I respond within 24 hours.

I review every ad you currently have running on Facebook and Instagram, analyze your website and offers, check your competitors' ads, and identify the specific gaps between what your business offers and what your ads actually show. You receive a clear, written summary — no jargon, no obligation.

Not for the initial review. I analyze your public ads through Meta's Ad Library, your website, and your competitors. If we decide to work together, I'll need Business Manager access — but only after you've seen my findings and decided to move forward.

Most campaigns begin generating leads within the first 7–14 days of launch. The first 2–4 weeks are a structured testing phase. By month 2, campaigns are optimized and scaling the winning combinations. Results depend on your market, budget, and service area.

The free ad review can serve as a second opinion. I'll show you specifically what your current campaigns are missing — service lines not being advertised, audiences not being reached, offers not being promoted. If your current provider is doing great work, you'll know. If there are gaps, you'll see exactly what they are.

Yes. While I have deep market knowledge of the Denver metro area, the strategy I use works for local service businesses anywhere in the United States. The process is the same: I study your market, your competitors, and your business before building anything.

I work on a month-to-month basis. No long-term contracts, no lock-in periods. If the campaigns are generating leads and you're happy, we continue. My goal is to earn your business every month through performance, not paperwork.

Pricing depends on your business size, number of service lines, and current ad spend. I work with a small number of clients to give each one full attention. Fill out the contact form and I'll give you a specific number based on your situation — no vague ranges or hidden fees.

Google Ads captures people already searching for a service. Meta ads generate demand by putting your business in front of homeowners before they start searching. This is how you reach people who need a new furnace but haven't started looking yet. I specialize in this demand generation side because it's where most local service companies have the biggest untapped opportunity.

Who I am
"I study ad accounts the way mechanics study engines — I look for what's broken, what's wasting money, and what should be there but isn't."

I specialize in local service businesses because they have something most advertisers don't — real, urgent demand. A homeowner with a broken furnace at midnight isn't browsing. They're looking for someone to trust, right now.

Before I build any campaign, I read every page of your website, study every ad you're running, and map the gap between what you offer and what the market can actually see. That research happens before we ever speak.
